Karina is a 10 year old pianist from Vancouver, Canada. She is currently studying with Dr. Libby Yu and has joined the studio since 2022. She started learning piano in 2020 at the age of 6. Despite the Covid 19 pandemic, her enthusiasm for piano never wavered and it remains her favorite hobby. 

Karina have won numerous awards in different music festivals and competitions.  At the age of 8, she won 1st place at the White Rock/Surrey competition for Level 7 and was a CMC finalist. 

At the age of 9, she won the Best Performance of a Chopin Piece Award and the Award of Special Promise at the Architecture of Music (AGE) for the 9-12 age group. Karina also won 3rd place at the Vancouver International competition in the 9-12 age group and received gold awards at BCCM. 

Outside of piano, Karina dances ballet and figure skates. She also loves sports, traveling and food.
