Eason Hu, a twelve-year-old from Toronto, discovered his love for music after being inspired by Coral Solomon’s concert at the age of six. Soon after, he began studying piano with her and quickly demonstrated exceptional talent. He went on to win first-place awards in several local music competitions, including the Toronto Kiwanis Music Festival, North York Music Festival, Unionville Music Festival, CCC Toronto International Music Festival and OMFA Provincial.
At the age of nine, Eason started piano lessons with Dr. Michael Berkovsky. Under Dr. Berkovsky’s guidance, he made significant progress. By the age of 10, Eason was accepted into The Phil and Eli Taylor Performance Academy for Young Artists at The Royal Conservatory, where he continues his piano studies.
In addition to his achievements on the piano, Eason started learning violin at the age of seven with Jing Ye. His dedication to the instrument earned him second place in the Canadian Music Competition in both 2022 and 2023. In 2024, Eason began studying violin with Marie Bérard and Jonathan Crow at the same academy. He has also been accepted as a violinist in the Toronto Youth Symphony Orchestra for the 2024/25 season.
