Leping started playing piano at the age of five. She studied piano seriously with Ms. Mina Mu at age of seven and was accepted into Phil and Eli Taylor Performance Academy for Young Artists in the studio of Dr. Michael Berkovsky when she was nine. Leping has won numerous awards and scholarships, including the winner of North York Concert Orchestra Concerto Competition 2024, Taylor Academy Concerto Competition 2023, first prize winner in level 9 of the Music Lights the Way Piano Festival in 2023, first prize winner in age 7-11 group of the 5th edition OMNI competition in 2023, first prize winner in Division 1 at the 28th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth in 2021 and the overall prize winner in age 8-10 group in 2021 Toronto Steinway Piano Competition. Leping made her orchestra debut with the Royal Conservatory Chamber Orchestra in March, 2023 and is excited to be performing with North York Concert Orchestra in Oct., 2024. Leping enjoys swimming, golfing, reading and crochet in her free time.
