Aidan began learning piano at the age of 6 and has since charmed audiences and judges alike with his powerful and thoughtful musical interpretations. He is currently studying under the tutelage of the esteemed Dr. Younggun Kim.
Aidan has participated and received prizes in numerous competitions across the globe such as the Concours de Musique du Canada, OMNI Music Competition, Ontario Music Festivals Association Nationals, Hong Kong Schools Music Festival and many more. He has also participated in summer festivals such as the Vancouver Piano Sessions and Orford Academy of Music under scholarship, where he worked with world renowned music educators such as Boris Slutsky, Kyu Yeon Kim, David Jalbert and Jimmy Brière. Some of the many distinguished pianists that he had worked with in the form of masterclasses include Jamie Parker, Su Jeon Higuera and Sasha Starcevich and he has performed in many famous venues such as the Flato Markham Theatre, Pyatt Hall and Salle Gilles-Lefebvre.
Aidan holds the piano position of the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra. He is also a part of the Arts Unionville piano program, a specialised arts program designed for artistically talented students with all sorts of performance opportunities. He is also a double bassist. With more than 10 years of experience, he has toured in cities such as Bratislava and Sydney with orchestras and is currently a member of the Unionville High School Jazz Quartet and the principal bassist of the Unionville High School Symphony Orchestra. Aidan has also had experience with chamber music and has worked as both a collaborative pianist and a seasoned bassist. He has recently gotten into the hobby of composing, having received prizes from competitions and receiving readings from different ensembles. In his free time, Aidan enjoys travelling and watching movies.
