Terrence Liang, a native of Toronto, Ontario is currently a student at Unionville Meadows Public School. Having started his piano studies at age five, he continues his musical development under the tutelage of Cecilia Chan, Oscar Peterson piano faculty at the Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto.
In June 2022, Terrence received First Class Honors with Distinction for his RCM Level 6 practical piano exam. Shortly after, he was a recipient of a First Place Award from Crescendo International Music Competition, leading to an appearance at the Aga Khan Museum. In the following year, April 2023, Terrence was a National Finalist at the Canadian Music Competitions. That summer, Steinway Piano Competition granted a “Gold Winner” prize to Terrence, and he performed at the awards ceremony at the Sheraton Conference Centre. Terrence was highlighted as the “Grand First Prize” winner, for receiving the highest mark overall, for the entire competition in all age categories at the SSP Sea to Sky International Piano Competition, November 2023, leading to his Weill Hall, Carnegie Hall debut.
