Vanessa Hung started learning piano at the age of 4 and is a member of RCM Taylor Academy Senior Piano Program. Currently, she is studying with Lang Ning Liu. In 2018, she attended the OMFA competition and got third place. 2019.2022 CMC national Final piano class fourth place; Vanessa won the gold award in piano concerto at the North York Music Festival in 2023, as a reward she performed with Huronia Symphony Orchestra as her solo piano orchestral debut, playing the first movement of the Grieg piano concerto in A minor, Op.16. Between 2017-2024, she won numerous awards in piano at Kiwanis Music Festival, CCC Toronto competition, North York Music Festival, and Ontario Provincial Music Competition (OMFA). Recently, she attended masterclasses with Sasha Starcevich, Alan Hobbins, and James Anagnoson. Over the years of studying music, Vanessa organized multiple outreach performances for retirement homes and other places. Vanessa is really passionate about music and enjoys spending her time with music!
